Insurance

The first question
everyone asks.

We're in-network with Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, and most out-of-state Blue Cross Blue Shield plans — so most patients pay just their plan's copay, usually $20–$60 a visit. We verify your exact coverage and email you what you'll pay before your first visit. Self-pay rates are published and transparent too.

Not in-network: Blue Shield of California, Cigna, United Healthcare, Kaiser, Medi-Cal, Medicare. If that's your plan, self-pay is an option — see pricing.

We figure it out with you. Coverage questions? Ask us before your first visit.

What we offer

Care that meets you — where your brain actually is.

We don't push one approach. Medication, therapy, or both — we'll build the plan with you and adjust it as you grow.

Our specialty

Adult ADHD — assessment & treatment

A careful, thorough evaluation for adult ADHD. Medication care including stimulant and non-stimulant options. Long-term and refinable — not a one-visit diagnosis and goodbye. We also work with comorbid presentations: ADHD alongside anxiety, depression, trauma, PMDD.

  • Never-diagnosed adults welcome
  • Optimization when your current meds aren't right
  • We treat the whole picture, not just the first label

Anxiety
care

Panic, GAD, social anxiety, high-functioning anxiety. We look for what's driving the symptoms — sleep, medical contributors, perfectionism, burnout — not just the label on top.

Anxiety care →

Depression
care

Low mood, motivation loss, burnout, brain fog. We rule out medical contributors, consider sleep and substances, and build a plan — medication, therapy, or both.

In their words

Dr. H made it clear he would work with me, but only if I made a serious commitment to improving my health. I appreciated that.
San Francisco · via Yelp
He asked about trying a new medication, and within a few weeks it was doing its job phenomenally. He cared about what I was going through.
Berkeley · via Yelp
A methodical approach with a strong concern for not creating any harm. Very up-to-date on advances in medicine.

FAQ

The questions we answer most.

Written from real patient calls — not a marketing page.

Full FAQ (30+ questions) →

Do you prescribe ADHD medications like Adderall or Vyvanse?

Yes. Chelsea manages medication for ADHD, including controlled stimulants and non-stimulant alternatives. After your first visit we'll build a plan — and keep refining it over time.

How quickly can I get an appointment?

Most new patients are seen within 5–7 days of applying, once insurance verification and assessments are complete.

Is the first appointment in-person or virtual?

First visit is in-person at our Flood Building office (870 Market Street, near Powell BART). Follow-up visits can be virtual or in-person — your choice.

I'm already on meds. Can you continue my care?

Yes. Bring your records and current prescription list. We still do one comprehensive intake so we can continue your care safely.

Do you take Blue Shield of California?

No. Blue Shield of California is a separate insurer from Anthem BCBS. We're in-network with Anthem Blue Cross, Aetna, and most out-of-state BCBS plans.

Do you offer therapy or just medication?

Yes — short-term CBT. For longer-term or specialized therapy, we help set you up with outside therapists and work with them on your treatment plan.

What is Creyos?

A validated online cognitive assessment — attention, memory, executive function. It gives us objective data to guide and track treatment. Takes 20–30 minutes at home. Billed separately using neuropsychological testing codes; if you're self-pay, it's included with your first visit.

How much is self-pay?

See our pricing page for current self-pay rates and the Intuitive Insight Plan.

Our philosophy

We regard every person as unique, and every story as important.

Individualized care begins with a solid foundation in high-quality, evidence-based medicine. We look carefully at the biological, genetic, and functional roots of your experience — is your depression related to sleep apnea, a thyroid issue, a medication side effect? Or something hereditary and neurochemical? We investigate thoroughly. For some, that brings substantial relief on its own. For others, we gently explore deeper — the psychological and social patterns that shape well-being.
