Part-Time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Location: San Francisco, California (In-Person)
About the Role:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner at Intuitive Psychiatry, you will provide lifestyle-focused, integrative medical care that helps patients optimize their mental health and overall wellness. Your primary responsibility is to troubleshoot chronic conditions, address hormonal and metabolic contributors, and guide patients in evidence-based, whole-person strategies for improved physical and mental well-being.
Important Note:
You will not serve as patients’ primary care provider (PCP) for emergencies or routine day-to-day medical issues. Instead, you work in a consultative capacity—complementing each patient’s existing PCP by focusing on the health and lifestyle factors that intersect with mental health. Your work is designed to enhance—not replace—the care each patient receives from their medical home.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct focused medical evaluations (e.g., thyroid, hormonal, or metabolic assessments) to identify contributors to mental health symptoms
Collaborate with psychiatric providers to develop integrated treatment plans
Provide one-on-one education, coaching, and support for lifestyle changes (nutrition, movement, sleep, stress)
Address specific hormonal health needs for both men and women
Support patients living with chronic conditions through evidence-based, practical interventions
Maintain thorough, HIPAA-compliant documentation in our EMR
Work alongside a collaborative team committed to holistic, patient-centered care
Who You Are:
California-licensed, Board Certified FNP with active DEA license (or eligibility)
Experienced or deeply interested in lifestyle medicine, hormonal health, and behavioral interventions
Collaborative, communicative, and passionate about whole-person healing
Comfortable acting as a consultant and coach—working with, not replacing, primary care
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred (but not required):
Experience supporting patients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, or trauma
Familiarity with functional, integrative, or lifestyle psychiatry/medicine
Comfort with telehealth and digital health tools
Schedule: Part-time, Contract (flexible within clinic hours)
Pay: $76.00–$101.44/hr (DOE)
